Come visit us Mondays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays from 9am-6pm every week.



The AS Food Bank is available for registered Undergraduate and Graduate students only. If you are not a registered student, please click the Non-Registered Student and resource Tab for resources off campus.

To receive food from the AS Food Bank,  there are two requirements:
1) Being a registered UCSB Student, undergraduate or graduate. This is verified with your ACCESS CARD.

2) Completing a Self-Declaration of Income form when you come in. This needs to be filled out every new school year.

In order to use the Food Bank, you must make under $14,484 per year. This excludes family income, spousal income, financial aid, scholarships, TA-ship, and fellowships. If you have any questions regarding the income requirement, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Don’t have your access card?

You can get one at the Information Desk in the UCEN on the 2nd floor or be prepared to log in to GOLD on one of our computers.

What Can I Get at the Food Bank?

Students are allowed to use the food bank once a day during operation hours. Students can take a limited amount of food from different categories within the pantry. The following categories of food and the number of items one may take are:

Fresh Vegetables & Fruits on Mondays & Wednesdays (limits vary)

Beans – 1 items

Starch-1 item


Breakfast – 2 items


Canned Fruits – 1 item
Canned Veggies – 1 items
Instant Noodles – 1 cup of noodle & 1 ramen or 2 ramen
Miscellaneous – 1 item
Sauces – 1 item
Soups- 1 item
Toiletries – 1 items (1 toilet paper max)
