Mission
The Associated Students Food Bank provides free produce, pantry staples, and basic care products to the diverse UCSB community. Led by a group of passionate students, the Food Bank aims to tackle food insecurity on campus while continually raising awareness on issues surrounding food, sustainability, and social justice. We offer a safe, inclusive space for all students— as well as confidentiality in our services.
Our Work
In the 2025-2026 academic year, the ASFB served over 24% of the student population. In the same year, the ASFB received 68,000+ total visits to its main pantry and distributed approximately 300,000 pounds of food.
In addition to its pantry services, the Food Bank also manages several auxiliary programs to holistically support students’ basic needs and expand access to basic needs resources across campus. Such programs include free snack stations and prepared food vending machines, dining hall meal vouchers for students in need, diapers and formula for students with dependents, and a seed bank for students to pick up materials and grow their own food.
